Jehovah Rapha

I love this name for God. It means (I guess this is using the wording from the King James), "the Lord that healeth thee". I like to say, " the Lord our healer"...it's easier to say :o). Anyway, To me there is so much meaning in it. Not only does God heal us physically, but also emotionally, spiritually, financially, and everything in between. To me healer covers everything that we may face. God can "heal" us from everything. What a special name!

3 Year Old Prayer Requests

I help in the 3-4 year old class on Wednesday nights at our church and always find our prayer time very amusing. When we ask the kids if they have prayer requests, a few will say mommy and daddy or other family members but most of the time ALL of them only want us to pray for their pets. The requests get followed by long stories of what thier pets did all week, in detail. So, we pray for each childs pet every week. It really is too cute.
